No Bed For Me!
Make sure to set your timing.
Actually, Slade, Mulochico not only has a timing setup, but has offered us NorCal guys help in setting timing.
Hoping to meet Alan and take him up on his kind offer sometime soon!

Is there a car wash nearby? I use the pressure washer to clean engines before I ****** them. I just leave the engine running and spray away! IDI fairly easy to wash out, all the water flows down the valley and over the transmission on to the ground.
Never been afraid to wash a running engine especially a diesel.

I hope everything went OK for you over the weekend - anxiously awaiting an update on the Baby Moose install!
I'm gonna throw this out there, just so you all hear it. I just attended a Stanadyne training session as part of my new job. One of the things the instructor SPECIFICALLY mentioned is to NEVER wash a running diesel with a Stanadyne IP. Now, having said that, the reason is the same as why we sometimes poor cool water on an IP with a heat soak issue. Sudden changes in pump housing temperature cause the hydraulic head to expand or contract at a faster rate then the internal rotor. If it shrinks by .00002 inches, your looking at snapping the input shaft in your healthy pump and siezing the head and rotor. That's major damage, and invalidates your pump as a useable core.
