i have a 93 f-350 with a stock turbo i was thinking of getting a new turbo so that i can maybe get higher boost numbers i know that these motors cant take all that much but i have to be at almost 3,000 rpm to get about 10 pound of boost is there any other way other than a new turbo to get higher low rpm boost??

If you haven't already got a free flowing exhaust, you should add one. You could turn your Injection pump up a little too. If you can find an upgraded housing for your turbo from ATS that might gain you some low end as well.

About needing a pump... How old is the pump now... Or how many miles are on the pump & injectors. Nobody can answer the question without more info.... Whittier:dunno Where's that....:sly

It is my understanding that the "Aurora 2000" is not significantly different that the "old" wastegated ATS turbo. I don't think you will see any change in boost. Have you adjusted the wastegate on your current ATS? You really should be able to get all the useable boost you need. If you don't have a pyrometer or a boost gauge........get them soon.

If I'm not mistaken, Ryan (reklund) got less boost after switching from the old non-gated ATS to the "Aurora."

I agree that the aurora is probably not worth the hype. Your stock turbo is capable of more boost with the upgraded downpipe though.

The truck has 131xxx miles on it. i bought it with 118,000 and im am not sure if the pump was ever change but i am pretty sure it hasnt been. or the injectors at that.

and i havent done anything to the waste gate im pretty sure its still at stock settings cause like i said i have to be pulling pretty good at high rpms to get 10 pounds.
