I have a small 1 gallon compressor sitting behind the passenger seat. It is slow, but will put out over 120 psi. Why mount a tank? I have a portable tank I could use, I have a Bostich pancake I could us and a DeWalt with twin tanks.....I have not found the need for a lot of air or pressure.

Where's @frankenwrench ? His signature is "Overkill is under rated!" -Flame Thr
Someone rang? Extremely late to the party I see. I've drilled holes in some 3/8 plate many times with a 308 with some "spicy" rounds. But from a distance. Lol. Don't expect such accuracy in my shot placement to mount something to the frame. Bert is a better shot than I. Bert was a fine gentleman, great with lead and explosives. Not my first pick on regular vehicle maintenance. Lol. Definately have him on my side if ever deployed again.

I do have some 30-06 AP for my Garand. Snow came late, but it came, and I've been messing about with studded tires and firewood and trying to get the area cleaned up for snow plowing. Much busy-ness, little progress.

I have made a very little progress on the camper conversion. I got the divided queen mattress, had to have it special made.

Mu daughter and son in law used it for a trip down to Mt Mckinley, and said it worked fine for them.

I also got a propane stove to set into the top of the middle compartment on the drivers side.

I got a TruCool Max LPD4739, It's huge! I'm going to have to modify the grill supports to fit it in. The fins are paper thin, and very fragile.

Here's the stock cooler:

There's a lot of plastic in the front clip of these vans. The headlight buckets and grill support are one piece heavy plastic, with a couple of vertical steel supports behind it. The stock cooler is between the drivers side support and the headlight. The support unbolted easily, but the headlight side of the stock cooler was almost impossible to get at. I really didn't want to pull the grill support plastic off, so I took a long time getting two little screws out of there.

Today I finished installing the transmission oil cooler and the thermal bypass.
This is way larger than the original.

I did have to remove the black plastic frame to make room to squeeze in the new monster cooler. Fortunately it comes off easily. There are these two little bolts on each side under the turn signals, and there are four more bolts holding the frame to the center supports.

With the frame out, there was plenty of room to install the new cooler.

I drilled two holes in the radiator support, slipped on some captive nuts, then screwed the cooler on so it's hanging from the top.

I notched the vertical support I had to remove, slipped a bit of slit fuel hose over it where the cooler might rub, and stuck it in place.

Then I plumbed it in. There was a hose coming out of the radiator going to the old cooler, and a hose running from the old cooler back to the steel line running toward the transmission. I say hoses, but they were factory looking steel lines with crimped on rubber ends. I removed the old hoses, got some 5/16" to 3/8" hose barbs, and plumbed it with 3/8" tubing. I put the thermal bypass right under the radiator where the lines ran sort of parallel.

If the thermal bypass works, I'll get way more cooling in the summer, and keep more heat in the transmission in the winter.

I got the cooktop installed. I cut into the counter on the drivers side, and found there were two layers. The countertop is nonmagnetic stainless, and the compartment below is a separate box, made of aluminum, of course. So, I cut into the counter with a sawzall and grinder.

Then I cut into the outside storage box:

Finally, after much trimming and fitting, I got the stove in place.

I put some wood spacers between the counter top and the storage box to keep the counter from sagging, and screwed them in place from below. There is some light, open cell foam on top of the storage box that doesn't seem to accomplish much. I had to move the storage box interior light to put the stove there, so I rerouted the wire for it and passed it through a grommet in a new hole I drilled in the top of the box.

I still have to plumb the propane, then we'll be able to cook inside!
