coming out of an '84 F250, pretty sure it's not the original as per po, has left handed lugs on the drivers side- do i need to keep those for some reason?

Looks like a Chevy Rear end to me.
Dana 60 or 70 look for tag under the goo under the bolts on cover also should be a cast 60 or 70 on housing as someplace. Likely stock
D-70 HD? 4.56 gears?

Thanks Ken. Something to put on my wants list... A set of 3:73...... My 3:55 is well worn out.. Lots of slop in the ring to pinion gear.
will check if my buddies axle is 355 or 373 if 373 you may be in big luck!

1984 is most likely going to be a Dana axle, I think Sterling axles were phased in sometime during MY1985.
