I will post some pics tonight of the box I'm putting under the deck on my 92, I'm going to try and find the same thing for the pass side to give me lots of storage space.

Darrin, you sure get some pretty cool vehicles on your lot... Speaking of which, where did you find that '85 with a 7.3 and RABS? The engine could have been swapped in, but are you sure that ABS it's not just a load-sensitive pressure modulator valve)?

Yea Thanks, I like the older odd ball stuff,...cookoo

I bought that truck from another "Dealer" (I use that term loosely) It does have the 7.3, but probably not the ABS, My son Alex comes in 2 days a week and does my website stuff, takes pics on my new inventory, and loads them on 3 websites. Sometimes when you put in the vin it auto fills in the fields so the puter probably checked the ABS box. Then I have to go through and proof the ads, I just didn't do that yet on all of the stuff added yesterday. The truck really isn't ready to sell yet, but I have been so busy that I am running out of inventory and I just had him ad that one too for now.

Sorry, didn't mean in to sound like an a-hole comment - I've seen plenty of custom vehicles on your site, so I was just wondering if someone didn't upgrade this truck to a later RABS setup, as it's for the most part self-sufficient with its own sensor and brain and wiring to connect them, so I'd imagine it's quite retrofitable into older trucks - it just would be super cool (to me at least) if someone had actually done this, and you got a hold of the truck... Again, sorry if I offended you in any way.

Off topic, but I don't know why anyone would want to retro-fit that early 90s RABS. I thinks too slowly, you could do a better job by pumping the pedal yourself. We had a bunch of brand new IDIs in 93-94 at work and it felt like you stepped back on the throttle when the ABS kicked in and dumped the rear brakes.

Travis, we agree to disagree on this, as my experience with the RABS has been totally different - I for one would retrofit a RABS in an older truck. But, that's getting way offtopic.

Ah, just put a hydroboost unit on it, I can easily blow through the rabs valve. Its so nice being able to control the truck in a braking situation. Before I always hoped to stop, now if I dont stop I know I was overloaded.

Personally I prefer the load proportioning system over the rabs, always felt a bit more responsive and allowed the driver to better control what the brakes were doing.

Like I said, this is getting way offtopic...

Anyways, the pictures from both Darrin and Dave - don't these truck bodies have "cabinets and cubbys"? All the utility bodies have been of that same style tho, so what would be a step-side HD box?

Sorry, you misunderstood my comment, I totally did not take it as an a-hole comment, what I was trying to say is that I am a little cookoo for liking the old odd ball stuff.

Its all good,..;Sweet
