i know eventually I will be going with the BHAF setup,
list of filter PN's
John Deere PMAH19037 $55
Wix 42790 $29.41
NAPA 2790 $57.04
AFE 20-40044
Hastings af 1012
Carquest 87790 $64.78
Caterpillar 3i 0005
Fram ca 6818

the fram seems to be the cheapest off amazon

not trying to thread jack but is that what I see that you can buy a cat oil filter for these. I would love to swap that out for the napa gold im running now, just because I know how superior cat filtration is.

BHAF's are a beautiful thing ;Sweet I just wish there was a practical way to get cool air from outside the engine compartment into one...

You could always mount it outside...don't want those stacks getting lonely out there.

Donaldson makes the filters for Cat.

If you dig deep enough in their catalog you may find a filter with an inlet and outlet that will fit under the hood.

That a 5.0 air box boot I see at the filter? Pretty much wanted to put my filter in that same spot.

That is a 3-3.5 adaptor at the filter, I couldn't find any 3.5" pipe at the farm. The flexible tube part was on a 94? Chevy suburban I scrapped. Slid right on 3" PVC pipe and clamped down nicely

i'll have to pull my assembly apart to see the piece your talking about coming off,but what if you spun the assembly around so the metal piece that came off on you would be on the outside instead of inwards towards the turbo?

and or,what if you just remove the trouble piece? ........im going to go pull the thing to have a look at it.
thanx a million for sharing!;Sweet
