By the way. I ordered a set of Comp Cam's 910 springs. I was wondering about the increased pressure causing accelerated wear, but not after reading a bit and talking it over with Big Ron the Rally Host.

The spring swap may delay getting the heads on, but I've got lots of other stuff to keep me busy.

Heath, on that intake, just start all of the bolts a couple of turns. Ya know, just enough to hold them in without stripping out when ya start turning on em.

Like Corey said, John's was a PITA with decked heads.

A 7.3 I had to fix a shops screw ups a few weeks back also had decked heads and was the same way. Starting the bolts and wiggling the intake around while getting them all started helped ease the pain.
