So my friend that has cancer purchased this nice purdy red and silver 95 F-250 lifted up for $800 with a bad trans and 460 that the block exploded from being frozen full of water.

Since it needs an entire powertrian, I suggested why not do a diesel swap?
Like me, he loves a good rattling IDI as well and said DO IT!-Drool

So I'm in search of the entire wiring for it and a diesel tach to ease the swap since life has been good in the shop here lately.

I attached a few pics of what the yard looks like. -Drool

I'd swear it looks like a Ford field service lot........... With an eye blackening Dodge in the mix of it.:D

Cool Ron. I would offer up my low miles EFI 460 in the parts truck as a donor, but the IDI will be a better powerplant for him. I've had this silly 460 for 7 years. I start it and let it warm up every 4-6 months to keep it from crusting over.:D It needs a good home somewhere, just not in any of my trucks.:D

I've got 2 460's in the shop with 9 IDI's, so either way I had it covered.;Really

Plus Mikey is really getting stoked about the conversion since he came over Saturday morning and I had the old 460 on the engine stand and the trans was on it's way out.

I toyed the idea of converting the 460 E4OD to diesel status but opted out.
