sorry guys im a lil backwards sometimes lol but yall got the point ha ha
delphi repackages other products.
older delphi was known as "AC delco" with a "AC" cast in large fonts in the pump body.
Airtex is a "A" with a circle around it cast into the body of the pump.
not all airtex units are junk.
we have seen and some experienced a bad batch run.
Cal,
Thank you for the confirmation.... I know this is apples and oranges, but I just replaced the fuel pump in my 98 Sable Wagon, and it was an Airtex Electric In-Tank pump.... so I am glad they are not "that bad", not really wanting to drop the tank again....... I just finally am not sore from the last time.....
All aftermarket pumps are airtex now no matter where you get them from.the electric pumps say airtex right on them no matter what the box says.and they suck
i just did the fuel pump in my 05 taurus a few months back, we have had this car since 20-30k miles so i am fairly certian it is the original pump. the airtex pump i got from autozone matched the factory one perfectly. i am not talking just size and connections but the writing location and styles of the part numbers on the part was the exactly the same. its been working great for a few months now so it is not a long term test but so far so good.
there is a big differance in mechanical vs electrical though and pumps for our trucks are probubly in a whole differant area if not country of origin.

I'm getting tired of replacing these things. I'm thinking of just running this one until I get another to replace it, but don't want to hurt anything. I guess I will just put the old one back on it and wait for the UPS man to bring me a new one. Sometimes it seems like I just can't win.Thats fine at idle, what does it do revved up?
The main reason why i want the carter is where it weeps...
Also, between the two pumps i had, the metal on the bottom seemed to be stronger with the carter.
Even up to 3300 rpm it won't produce above 4 psi. Mostly 3 now. It runs great, I think I'm going to just run it until I get a new one, instead of putting the old one back on, then switching that one out again. I would have never known it wasn't putting out good pressure without a fuel pressure gauge.
