My breaks feel funny and yesterday I notice that as the truck runs I hear what sounds like an air leak, when I set my foot on the brake peddle noise seems to go away...what am I looking at here, without actually looking?

had that same problem on my volvo, was a brake booster... not specifically the booster but the shaft inside it. either can go but i believe more often than not, the booster diaphragm goes out.

damn it , I knew you guys would say it was the brake booster.....I was hoping for something chap and easy.
