97 psd power loss big time

I have a 97 psd it is a 5 speed I just traded for this truck and it don't seem to run right driving empty on the highway at 75 I can hit a bill and go down to 60 I checked my fuel peasure and is about 16 at idle it has a new pump and filter so I went to do the bb mod to it and my valve that you put the bb I'n to wear the spring goes has a hole I'n the side of it should it be their any help would be great on why this truck might be running like this thank you

Your fuel pressure is your problem. It should be higher than 50 at idle and 30 - 90 at WOT.

Assuming you don't have a fuel leak somewhere, I'd change the regulator and go from there.

Get it right first before modding it.

Thank you I am trying to get it right before any mods should my regulator plunger have a hole I'n the side of it

I can't answer that. Somebody else will need to step in here. I'm not that intimatly familiar with the PSD.

I don't remember seeing a hole in the side of mine when I did it ('95 psd).
