So I have a 97 reg cab turbo 7.3 f350,4x4 and I want to change the motor tranny transfer case front axel(being a solid vs indipendant) into) into a 90 7.3 dually 2wd crew cab what all would b different or will this work at all
It will work! But remember that your 97 is a powerchoke though... you will need to do a lot of work to move the computer related crap over also (dash, wiring harness). So it will work but it will take a lot of effort. I think the recommendation from most would be unless you have something really really special... not worth the effort.
But why? Just trying to keep it crew cab?
What is wrong with the cab and bed on the 97? If just wanting dually, swap the rear axles and front dually adapters...
