Hello all, new here, I bought a 93 7.3 this summer, and been slowly plugging away on it.. long story short, the seller was going to sell it to a guy for parts, but the guy came back when he was out of town and went midnight shopping.. took the starter, alternator, fuel filter head, few other random things..

Current problem is, when he took the alternator, he cut the harness for the alternator, tach sensor and ac.. I can do my own harness, but idk which wires are which.. anyone have an idea? Or a diagram for the harness?

Welcome to OilBurners.

Did you already buy an alternator? If not, might be a good time to upgrade. Many here recommend going to a 3G alternator.
This may, or may not, help. But it's all I've got.

Here's a 1993 diesel alternator wiring diagram. WARNING. I see a mistake in this diagram, the very bottom wire on the alternator picture is labelled LG/R. If you follow this wire up, it is labelled Y/W. Yellow white is the proper color for this wire. The other wire going to the dash light is labelled LG/R. That is the proper color for that wire.

Here's the power wiring layout over at the starter relay. You will not have the Leece-Neville alternator, you have the integral alternator.

Thanks for the replies! This will point me in the right direction, as I didn't know which was the alternator wire even..

I didn't buy an alternator, I'm recycling parts off of my 7.3 powerstroke lol.. I put a junkyard engine into my 01 this last year, and it had several parts I didn't use.. I have a mechman 240 amp alternator for my 01, so the stock one is what I'm using..

Also, as far for recycling stuff, the positive battery cable setup off of a powerstroke works well on these trucks.. adequate length and the holder bolts in as well..

I am also taking this time to go to e fuel, using a 6.5 pump, and cat filters on the frame rail.. what pump block off plate does everyone use?

Also, on the return, can I basically tie them together? The stock filter head is gone
