New to the obs diesel world rebuilding this truck What's the best off road size tire to put on this old girl we live in the mountains of New mexico and have snow I am willing to put body lift on
Is the truck an f250 or f350? 4wd I am assuming? 33s work great on 4wd f250s without rubbing. I believe 35s will rub on an f250 but I never tried it.
As far as I know, 35s work on f350s (4x4).
I used to run 33s on a F250 with no lift. That's going to be your limit without rubbing, assuming your springs aren't sagging. That means a 285 or 305 tire if you're running 16" rims. On a solid axle F350 you should be able to run 315 tires without rubbing.
I'm not a fan of body lifts. Too many issues with bumper alignment, shifter linkages, and fan shroud clearance. If you're going to lift it spend the extra money and do a suspension lift.
