i found a 92 f250 4x4 for sale here locally its an auto and looks like in its in ok shape but it has oil in the coolant what are some of the possible causes of il in the coolant?

Head gaskets and oil cooler o-rings are the most notable things that cause oil in the coolant. If it uses coolant, could be cavitation also.

Most probable and cheapest is oil cooler rings, other options get more expensive. Let it run and get up to temp and check for air bubbles in the coolant, that would indicate headgasket or cavitation over oil cooler.
