86 vs 87 crew cab doors...

so, i found a door on craigslist for 60 bucks.
completely straight.
but its off an 86, will this directly swap over to the 87?
figgured id ask because this is the interchange year.
mine is a little beat up. and its worth it to not do body work.

The doors on my '85 are off of an '89; perfect fit. It's not a crew though, don't know if there's going to be a gotcha there or not.

From 1987 or 1988 -1997 the crew cab doors were all interchangeable. I unfortunately do not know about previous years. Sorry IDIoit.

the rear doors are actually 89. i keep forgetting that! lol
thats the one i wanna replace.
the only difference i forsee is that they do not have electric locks.

Rears should be the same except the inside panel (the "pretty" plastic piece) and maybe the window. In the Slants they had a stationary "vent" window and a smaller opening panel. I think the inside door handle will be chrome metal and not the black plastic. This is actually an "upgrade" as these do not break like the plastic ones. They are a direct replacement, I looked at an OBS the other day with a Slant drivers inside door handle.

i need the rear crew cab doors.

hell, he's trying his hardest to sell me the entire body for 500 bucks.

The rear door has a small window that covers the entire front 1/4 of the opening and it does not move. There is a rear section, that is 3/4 of the opening that actually opens. The window track is attached to the front window section......

the 83-86 rear crew cab doors are hard to find. The door shell itself looks to be the same, but the windows, window tracks, door panels, arm rest are different.
Took me 2 years to find a set of beat to hell door panels, I had to make my own armrests. The interior latch is identical to one out of a 80's ranger, but they don't work very well; takes a lot of force to get the door to pop open from the inside. My kids are constantly fighting with them.
Fwiw, I've been hunting for a set of doors off of a newer truck; they're more common, and the windows/latch mechanisms work better.
