78 cab

will a 78 cab fit on my 1986 f250 frame? im looking for one to replace my new truck as its all rotted and i dont have a title to register it anyway. i found a cab with virtually no rust for 350, but im not sure if the cab was different then.

the cabs are different. The fram widths are different also but with enough time anything is possible

FWIW any cab from '80 to '97 (except the '97 F-150, of course) should bolt to the frame and line up with the rest of the sheet metal without issue. Wiring and interiors will be different between '80-'86, '87-'91, '92-'94, and '95-'97 (because of the switchover to the PSD)...

I done a 76 on an 82 frame and nothing lined up its a pretty big job!
