If I wanted to get a spare 7.3/6.9 starter lined up, or find good starter to put on & save this'n for a spare, what part #'s should I be lookin for in different brands. & I don't want to mess round with anything sept gear reduction starter.
I was pokin in Tec section looking for # & saw Mel's "How to do it" & saw pic looks like Bosh #16561....found somebody talking over on the STD site (first time I went over cking my STD's in months
) about Mitsubishi# being the same.
Was at local parts store while back ckin. & they came up with #72-17037....that looks like their version of a Lester part # to me....???
Wish I knew more about crapp like this!!! Feeling stupid is fustrating!!!
BTW, different sub, maybe I can post this here....cause I use it liftin my IDI
I'm looking for starter (on the cheap) for early '70's Towmotor Fork 760P w/227 Contiental, 3bolt-on, oil clutch. It's 9tooth CW rotation.
Couple #'s I have is Lester# 3876 in straight dr Delco,
or Lester# 17118 in gear red. Nippondenso
