Basically any question you might have has likely already been answered

haha yes and that worked for me for the past year but when i had specific issues arise i made my account to start this thread

this is a great site with a wealth of knowledge but i havent found an answer to the supercharger mystery, a thread began a few months back but dropped off without the source saying if it worked :dunno as for the psd turbo ive seen it done but kinda doubt the practicality of it? just want to hear the experts thoughts because i could get a psd turbo for a lot cheaper!

Why not just go with what you know works? maybe there's a reason those threads disappeared?? I mean there really isn't any need to re-invent the wheel here. There are thousands of these trucks running on of the "big three" turbo kits with very satisfied owners. If you doubt the practicality of a PSD turbo well then there must be a reason for you to doubt it? So again, go with what you know works....seems simple to me

when you describe a PSD turbo, please READ and find out which PSD turbo you think will work,
there are a few different variations.

be ready for lots of fab work.
the TP38 or the GTP 38 will not bolt directly to these IDI's
you pretty much have to engineer your own exhaust, intake and oiling systems.

if youre crafty with a welder, go ahead.
if not, be prepared for lots of cash to be shelled out
and IMO no shotty 110 gasless mig will do.

yes, you can get a cheap turbo that came off a powerstroke, but the bearings are usually waisted, and blades chipped, cracked, and ate up.

i AM speaking from experience, as i am about to do twin TP38's

an ATS or banks turbo thats made for these engines will bolt right on.

And again, many will say to replace the IP and injectors if there is a question about the integrity and performance of either component. READ THE HALL OF SHAME before purchasing injection components!!! Yes, if there is 200k on your IP it would definitely be due for a replacement. The injectors really ought to be replaced at the same time as they wear together with the IP.

ok ill probably do that, i spend a lot of time on the conestoga page dreaming of high output idi's... i think i will go with bb injectors to save money instead of the moose misters and get the baby moose and save for a turbo... i have a smoke video and pictures of the truck and ip that i will be uploading here directly

thank you i have checked that out and i have my "dream" setup in mind i would like to know if i need to replace my ip soon, as you can see the truck runs great but i like to fix things before they destroy something else, and its gonna be awhile before i have enough saved to throw a few grand into a turbo and intercooler
