Has anyone by passed a fuel water separator ? I'm wondering if it's causing my truck to suck in air and cause my shuddering and spitting when I reeve my engine up.

Yep, mine finally gave out after two years of running biodiesel. Just pick up a 3/8 hose barb to 3/8 hose barb repair fitting and use it to bypass the separator. If your problems go away, start working on a replacement or repair.

A previous owner cut the metal lines to mine down by the frame and put in a piece of hose.

If you do, be sure to change out your 6.9 filter head for a 7.3 one, and start using the 7.3 fuel filter which will catch the water for you.

I bought a filter head at Napa that uses a 30 micron water trap filter.it's ahead of the OE filter. I have never seen any water come out when i drain it
