hey everybody, i have my 95 psd 2wd and im looking to convert it to 4wd and i had a couple questions to ask and some ideas to toss into the air. i have a coil spring dana 44 lying around and im curious if it will fit under the spring buckets on my f250. if that wont work i will probably just put my cab and motor on a 4x4 frame at some point but hey why spend money on another truck if i dont have to lol. any insight would be awesome thanks everyone!

oh and i will be puting dana 60 knuckles on it for anybody who hought i would run a 5 bolt hub on my 8 lug truck lol

Even if you put D60 knuckles on it, it's still just a D44.
Just get a D60 from a F350. Make sure it's a SRW. Or you'll have to swap the hub, iirc.
Make sure to get the track bar and bracket. The F350 springs ride better, and will give a little lift, so get some F350 rear lift blocks also.
Need the F350 front driveshaft also, but some people talk about flipping a F250 driveshaft and just using it.

Dana 60 is not a bolt in on a 2wd coil sprung truck.

Yes you can go the easy route with the bronco/f150 front end parts withe the correct rotors and hubs.i believe there was a thread on whats needed in the idi forum

Rsk. Then the appropriate 60 is a bolt in and you will have a extra 3" or 5" of lift dependent on the kit you use. Keep hearing that they ride better too but I can't substantiate that claim yet.

Reverse shackle kit.
Basically you would be adding spring hangers that are positioned to give you some lift at the same time. Last I looked I think the 3" kit is $300 from sky.

Don't necessarily need 350 springs but be sure they are diesel rated. There are small block f350's out there. Leafs from a f250 or f350 will work. If you can find a 60 with the springs, track bar with cross member mount all attached from a diesel you'll be good to go after the rsk is in place. Or you could just go get factory hangers but would be kinda a waste of time with the work involved unless you want a factory height truck.
*im not sure if there's a diff between 2wd and 4wd steering like older chevs.

the reason for the better ride is because they use super duty springs instead of the obs springs, just doing a rsk wont give much of a difference in ride, probably wouldn't notice it, i was going to do this and did some searching, people that just did the rsk said it made no difference until they put the super duty front springs on it
