If you post it in the towing section........ all the PSD, Dmax, and Cummins guys will post about how they tow and it's completely unrelated to your IDI. This is the best place to get an functional and applicable answer to your question in my opinion.

Yikes, I've got 3.55 gears with a 4 speed and I tow my car trailer and Bronco and it gets slow. I don't want to loose the fuel mileage though - 5 speed and turbo should sure things out for me. There are a few nasty hills with stoplights and long ass grades that I run 2nd or 3rd to get up - 40mph FTL, lol.
