some of you might remember my grumbling about needing to do my front berings on the other site, i finaly did it the other day and found out i have a 44 and not a 50? i thought all diesels and 460 trucks had 50's.
after 65k they were pretty tired looking, the grease was wasted and they had some heat marking. i packed the new ones with synthetic grease so hopfully these last a little longer

well I learned something new too. I thought all diesels came with 50's.

Looking through the shop manual, it looks like all the main parts are the same, ie axle shafts, carrier, gears, and steering knuckles. So what is difference between the two, the housings?
