I imagine the gears would be fine. we would just need to modify the gear housing and maybe one custom gear to adapt it, or two if it rotates incorrectly for our engines ( to reverse rotation)

That is all that needs done to the intake? Damn I figured it would be more than that. How come yours hasn't come yet? You bought it a lil while back already!

And that's a good price! I wish I had some extra cash for it but my 6.0 blew a gasket so I'm low on cash now... Hopefully someone else is able to get it though.

You know, and this is just me thinking out loud, but.... if I were going to go to all this effort to mount up one of these things, I'd make damn sure that it was freshly rebuilt, and going to last a long time. Because.... this is a cam driven pump. And cam driven pumps have a nasty habit of letting parked plungers stick and hang. It would be a real shame to build this thing, spend all the money on lines and machine work, and then crank and crank and crank with no fuel coming out. :dunno

Mel has made a great point. Hopefully nobody was actually going to do what it takes to install one of these pumps without first having it rebuilt. Mel do you know if the Cat pump has the same cylinder firing order our pumps have. For me thats the most important question seeing our V8 cylinder firing order is really different being 1-2-7-3-4-5-6-8.. Sure not the simple to remember gm..

mel good point, I did plan to have mine built or rebuilt. that an to make sure the front seal of the pump dosent start leaking fuel into the crank case. icanfixall from what i have found it has the same firing order. ToughOldFord they are still around but wanted more fuel than a db2 an db4s parts are almost impossible to find.

I'd ditch the intake altogether and use the plenums like a 7.3 PSD uses with the y bridge personally. Frees up a lot more space, although it gets a little dicey with fab for where our injectors are located.

here is some info on the 3208, from what i am finding this wouldn't be hard to tare down an reseal. I dont seem to be finding any repair kits for it but did find plunger/barrel assemblies. not for if they are for the na, cal t, t, ta, or marian pumps without finding out more about the number interchange. it seems the barrels can be easy removed an inspected that the plunger move freely and cleaned, would just need new o-rings.

edit: 1w3010 is 8.5 barrel kit an 6n7527 is 8mm barrel kit, dp-5p9216 is the the gasket kit. I am going to hunt an see if I can find a part number for a 9mm barrel kit, 1W6541 might be it.
