2004 explorer fuel filter???

where is it?i havent touched one of these trucks yet so i have no idea where the filter is.my sister in law in florida needs to change it but the dealer and shops want 200.00 to do it sounds a little out rageous to me.so she asked if i knew where it was so she could do it herself.sooooo where is it?

Wow, I'd be surprised if you could. They don't even have dipsticks anymore.

I beleive it's on the right side under a cover behind the exhaust. It's on the chassis down there somewhere, a real PITA.

You will need to disable the electric pump and bleed the pressure first. You will also need a special tool for the quick connect fuel fittings available at most auto parts stores.
