i doubt you can tell if the new oil cooler was rebuilt or now but while the engines out is the time to do it but i dont know if it needs it.

UPDATE!!

Truckasaurus has been reborn!!!

Finished the engine transplant today and after only a few minutes of cranking, without the need to recharge the batteries, the truck roared to life!!

New front shocks, water pump, front and back tanks, new fuel pump, new injector pump, old injectors, rebuilt motor with unknown origin, but it runs really nice without ANY leaks right now.....

Now DMV, insurance and she will be back on the road and I will sell my GLI.
