Yup. I replaced the injectors and hoped to put off buying a pump because it seemed fine.
My pump started failing within a week or two.
Don't skimp on the pump either. Get it from one of the 2 companies listed above or you'll wish you had (and then probably will be buying from them anyway in the end).

+1 for

Moose Diesel

One member here had a bad experience with heavily modified components, but as far as I know, anyone else who went with Moose has had it well

I have :Thumbs Up

Shoot... Forgot to mention moose. My mother in laws truck has a Moose pump. Zero issues.
Definitely do the pump at the same time. Did a set of injectors on someone's 6.5 Chevy once, advised doing the pump, he declined. A week later it blew out the shaft seal and filled the crankcase with fuel and spun his bearings.

After he messed up his engine, that expensive Pump probably
looked rather cheap.

There is a saying my Grandma use to say
"The hurrier we go, the behinder we get"
or
"An ounce of prevention, is worth a pound on cure"

Not to hi-jack the thread but I was just considering swapping injectors on a pump with 55k on it. Is the risk that a worn out pump will struggle to pop the injectors and as a result put more pressure/stress on internal components? Or is it just that if your injectors are worn out then your pump is likely worn out too? I have a fuel related knock so was considering swapping injectors.

Its a gamble. Pump and injectors typically wear together, thats why we suggest replacing as a pair

A spin bearing on a 6.5? Surely you jest! It seems like at least 20%of the ones that I looked at had a spun bearing. That includes 6.2s as well.

Yes a worn pump will not open the injectors as well as a newly rebuilt one will. 55K miles shouldn't be wore out though. Nero said it right about the wear.
