Does anyone know where I can get the specs on the 10.25"??? I need the spec's required for a ring and pinion change. I'm going to fix my screw up and take the 4.10's out and put some 3.55's in.

Was 3.55 your original ratio or did you upgrade from a lower ratio?

The truck was built with 3.55's, then somebody put 4.10's in and stupid me matched my Dana 60 4wd front end to the door tag instead of checking to make sure it was right....LOL

I have a 86F250 6.9-c6 and was thinking of changing from 4.10 to 3.73 or higher

It tachs a little high for my taste and i would prefer more MPG

Everything has it's pros and cons if i raised the rear gear i would loose some pulling power

I don't do a lot of trailer hauling, I would rather have better MPG as it's my daily driver. I mostly haul firewood, gravel and junked Ford truck parts...LOL...
