Used .84 or 1.0 housing - what to look for?

early 99 compressor outlet is the same. Thats why guys use the e99 intake spyder to intercool OBS trucks. I have one waiting for my 95. The up pipes and collector are completely different on the superduties. collector to turbine housing mounts with a V band instead of the 4 bolt flange like the...

Used .84 or 1.0 housing - what to look for?

The superduty exhaust housing will not just bolt on to your OBS turbo. To run a Superduty turbo you will need everything, up pipes, collector, pedestal and one exhaust manifold. plus some other things. I just bought a 1.0 housing brand new for $125.

    MPG woes

The downpipe on my 95 was easy. used a porta power and the big indexable prybar i just bought was probably the perfect tool for the job. Took me longer to chop the old flat pipe out. Where are the up pipes leaking? manifold end or turbo end? They are kind of a beeeeotch to get to unless you...

    E4OD parts

I had the truck up on the hoist and have had enough of these trucks to have practiced trans R&R more than once LOL. its all the stuff like driveshafts, T case, crossmember, skid plate and shifters that take all the time.

    E4OD parts

Good news! trans is installed and working perfect! Im very happy with the transgo tugger kit, shifts are nice and firm when into the throttle but smooth if you go easy on it. TC lockup is much firmer as well. I think this setup should last me for quite a while, especially cause im going to ditch...

Got any pics? I already have one, but I have been looking for a different style. Maybe even put it on my other truck.

    E4OD parts

That is what I wanted to hear! Not the third bolt that goes into the intermediate/overdrive cylinder, but the third passage in the center support. Like I said its a slight leak, and I have no doubt that the ATF is going to seal a lot better than air.

    E4OD parts

Ok, I was reviewing my manuals trying to figure out the path of the direct clutch circuit and I realized that it goes from the valve body into the center support, but not through the two bolts that secure the center support, its a third passage to the side of those bolts, but i dont see anything...

    E4OD parts

Yeah, the reverse planet isnt concerning me too much. I do have 4 plates in the OD clutch. I put in red eagle coast clutch frictions and kolene steels, I would have liked to upgrade that pack since this truck has an exhaust brake but I dont have the time or money right now. I have the trans...

    E4OD parts

I am keeping the aluminum reverse setup as well, looks like about $350 for a steel setup so im going to pass on that for now. Honestly I didnt even count the overdrive clutches. This truck has such tall gears it rarely sees OD. LOL It does already have the steel OD planetary.

    E4OD parts

So after pulling the trans apart today, its not as bad as I thought. The previous owner told me it only had 10,000 miles and that appears to be true. The only problem is the forward planet is still an aluminum 4 gear unit and it just couldnt handle it. I called my local trans warehouse and they...

    E4OD parts

I have looked at racerx website, but its not that great. I got the trans out today but didnt get a chance to start tearing into it. I pressure washed it and the casting number on the case says F7, but who knows what is inside. the gray paint ford puts on there remans is junk!

    E4OD parts

Here is a good link I have found. It has a bunch of really good pictures. http://www.thedieselgarage.com/projects/e4od/index.htm The spring compressor is the only complex tool. I dont think I should have much trouble building something to get the job done. From what I have read the red eagle...

    E4OD parts

I have checked on ebay, the thought had crossed my mind to order some off there. This trans needs to hold up to 300hp and tow 10000 pounds. I am planing on alto red eagle clutches, but should I get the powerpacks with more plates? I know I have something broken in there, I found large metal...

    E4OD parts

Has anyone on here ever built there own E4OD? Im going to be pulling mine out tomorrow and gonna attempt it myself. I have an ATSG manual and have found some decent write ups on line but havent found a good source for hard parts. Im not looking to do a max effort build, just the usual updates...

    Intercooling

I have 3" piping on my 93. I took the plasma cutter to the core support. It still hasnt gotten very hot here, but I am probably going to have to go to a bigger IC if I decide to tow heavy in the summer. I dont remember the exact core size but its only 3" thick and need to be 4". Not for air...

    obs 40/20/40 seat

I have ex cab seats in my reg cab. It takes a little tweaking and drilling but they do fit. the floor pans arent that different. I was thinking of taking them out to put in the back of my crew cab then put the bench in my reg cab but there are some practical applications to having a rear bench LOL.

    Look what I drug home

It is just like the EBPV but I want it to work. Im not sure why someone would spend money on one of these when the truck had essentially the same thing from the factory, just wired differently LOL.

    Look what I drug home

Here is how it looked where I found it. Also does anyone on here know anything about these Pac Brakes? This one is a direct mount in place of the EBPV on the turbo and the vacuum actuator seems to be leaking.

    Look what I drug home

Yes $1500. looks like it had a blow out on the right rear and smashed it up a bit. That doesnt bother me as much as the inside, it had a ghetto cowboy gooseneck hitch in it and they really did a number on it. and the tailgate is garbage. I gutted the cat and chopped off the muffler and tailpipe...

    Look what I drug home

The owner told me it wouldnt start at all but I unhooked the glow plugs, gave her some ether and drove it outta there. It has a Pac Brake that doesnt seem to work and a couple wires on the rear doors were broken but I already fixed them. I torched out the home made gooseneck hitch and am getting...

    Look what I drug home

Only gave $1500 but had to put a glow plug relay, some fuel lines and the tires and wheels on it. It had been sitting out in the weeds for 5 years. I need to find a new bed for it and a grill and it will be good. Oh and some power mods so that it can at least keep up with my IDI :sly

    Rear axle codes

Well I brought her home for $1500. A glow plug relay, fuel filter, batteries and fresh fuel had it going. Aired up the tires and drove it home. Looks like it only needs the usual maintenance for a truck with almost 300k. I already put on a leveling kit with 35" tires and just need to replace...

    Rear axle codes

Another thing I noticed on this truck is that the radiator looks identical to the one in my 93 IDI. I thought all PSDs had a plastic/aluminum radiator?
