Driving through town and happend to look over and noticed my old truck sitting in some dudes drive way. So I swung in and talked the fellow. (Turns out he's as smart as a 2x4. Some of you prolly remember the whole saga of how the truck left me. It was sold for $500 even though I said no deal. So...
 This truck has to go! The hub bearings split apart in the rear end on the passenger side and the axle started to come out of the housing this truck is gunna drive me nuts. I jsut repalced all this stuff in the front and spent $300. Now the rears going out and I cant take it any more. Make...
So i just replaced my lift pump and all seems to be a lil better. It still tries to cut out around 3000rpm. Anywho got home and let the truck idle for a lil and went out to shut it off and noticed a decent puddle of oil. Crawled under the truck and the oil is coming from under the front cross...
I just swung by Harbor Frieght and picked up a compression tester kit. It says it will check rings and valves and late timing. There are a few fittings and Im sure one of them will fit. Problem is the gauge only goes to 300. Im sure I read somewhere that my IDI should be in the 400 range or...
:mad:If I let the truck sit more than a hour or so it is a real pain to get started. I have to crank then bleed the schrader vavle prolly four or five times. If I let it set overnight it drains my batterys before I can get it going. Its really ticking me off. There are no leaks on the return...
I have a 1986 F250 ext cab long bed 4x4 with the T19 and BW 1345. The truck goes down the road pretty good. It has been getting hard to start but goes after three tries.
The good stuff: New gps, new bellhousing and t case. New spindles and bearings and of course seals. Rears tires are a yr old...
:mad:So I got the old girl all fixed up with new spindles and bearings and seals. Drove her about 70 miles and felt ok. Still some spit and spudder when I try to get on it. Spits pretty good up around 2500rpm. Got to my destination and left the truck running. Looked out side and noticed smoke...
A friend of mine has a newer MB diesel that needed head work. So he did it himself. Problem he is having timing the pump and Chrysler won't help him out they told him he needs to bring it in. What special tools do I need to get him back on the road and what is the proper way to time the pump.
I don't have the full details on this. A friend of a friend has MB diesel in a chrysler product and had to remove the head and injection pump. Now chyrsler won't give him the info on how to time the pump. What do I need to get him back on the road? What special tools do I need?
I still have some misfire at idle and when trying to hold constant rpm it will fluctuate. Im thinking I need to rebuild my injectors but Im not tonsure on how to do this. Or where to get parts. I got the popping at cold idle to go away. But I sti have trouble starting. I have to cycle the plugs...
Ive been messing around and trying to decide what to put in place of my 6.9 I like the old Ferd 6.6 but what about a 6v71 or a 3208! I bet that Cat would be really crazy. I'm leaning a lil more towards the 71 tho just cus I know where to get one. What y'all think?
I know that something is messed up in my Dana 50 ttb as my front drive shaft will turn allmost a quarter of the way before it grabs. The four whelp drive still engages and works but I know it's only a matter of time before it goes out. My question is what is the easiest way to disassemble this...
Hey there fellas. Just joined today and wanted to say howdie. I have a 86 6.9 that I have had for a year and a half now and I do love it but it's getting pricey. I paid $1700 for it outta Fl and have spent about 3 grand on 2 t cases and about ten sets of gps before I switched to the ac60gs which...
