    Better Headgaskets for IDI's

    Is there a better headgasket solution for the IDI's? Modern MLS style, something with firerings (have to groove the block and/or heads). I saw the Cometic gaskets with the Phuzion rings, but I think they are custom order. There's gotta be a better way.

    Great news for all those who want a high output Stanadyne. Columbus Diesel (800) 818-7867 has two killer head and rotor assemblies for the Stanadyne pumps. 330cc (799.00) and a 430cc (890.00 outright/840.00 exchange). This ought to be enough fuel for anyone.

    12 valve stalling

    There's a 90 12 valve dually a couple of blocks from me that got taken out of service because of a stalling problem. I don't think it's that serious, but could possibly be the injection pump. If the fuel cutoff solenoid is bad, would it cause stalling? Any other things I should look at?

    Anybody put a C8.3 in a pickup? How about a DT series International? Heck, you're starting out with almost 1000 ft/lbs of torque from the factory. Could make towing fun with tall gears and over 100 mph!
