IDI into a Ranger

Just throwing it out there. I've seen 429-460s put in these trucks, how about a 6.9/7.3? Comments please.

Only for drag racing purposes....full build up, home built frame, big axles, ect.

Lots of work with not that many applications unless you want to go fast.

You would need to do a lot of reinforcement on the frame to keep it from flexing from the torque, would be nice off road like if your going for solid axles and stuff, lots of power in a little package.

This is my next project, but it might have to wait for 6-8 years until it can be a family project. I'm leaning toward a mid engine mount though. Lots of fab work.
