I know here in Maryland, it's illegal to have any kind of obstruction to your lights. My younger brother had the VHT stuff on his tails and he was constantly getting hassled by the cops about it.
The whole kit went on smoothly without any problems. I ended up having about 9" of the hose left over, as well as the copper washers and hardware that I didn't use.

As a last resort I tried giving it a small spray of starting fluid today. The air filter and housing were still on when I shot the fluid in. What really surprised me was how quickly it started! I know it's a big no-no to be using this stuff but I really needed to use the truck.
