And...I can mention that bees are good at sealing up what you have overlooked as far as gaps in your (their) boxes...

I know it's still "in process", but YO! YOU DEED EEET!!!

Yea, she is trying to shrink these two pvc fitting so can be shot out the engine. Sorry on no current photos and the drive side is still tight, guess have to find this 1in stuff in brass. I am not sure on the front main seal or if something else is leaking and getting on to it, that pully sprays it all over the passenger side.

I never had issues with goats, and I'll tell you why: if I noticed a goat showing bad behavior, I "dispatched" it immediately and gave it residence in my freezer. By doing that the good goats never learned bad behavior and I had good fence. Just keep cows fed really good and you usually don't have issues....... I've had some bulls that liked to test the fence, they were eaten or sold off.

As far as bees, yes propolis and burr comb are annoying, but once you understand "bee space", such things become beautiful. Especially when you realize that the God of the Bible programed that behavior into the insect robots. And hats off to the Reverend Langstroth for discovering what "bee space" is and how to manipulate it to get the bees to do what you want. I used to keep bees and rear queens, honey bees are the most intense livestock you'll ever experience.

Well one the fittings, is a bit bananaed...

So got brass ones and stood the filter up some so is more level...

And this one as well was replaced with brass, and this only reduces the amount of oil going on the ground. Also the H/F viton o-ring, did not work out and just leaked any time your not looking. A local hydraulic place had ones that where chunky like the few gray ones off the 6.9. So down to a oil leak, but maybe not as much right now.

On my way home from work I put one of my neighbor's calves back in (for the 2nd time that day) and temp. fixed the fence again. I stopped at the house to tell him. He asked if I had some time. I said, "Sure."
We got in his truck and drove to the crime scene. He had me hand him his ".44 mangler", as he calls it, from the door pocket.
He knew which one was the perp. and he dropped it right there with all the other ones watching. We put it in the back of the truck and back to the house and strung it up with his FEL.
I went home with some nice steaks that turned white on the grill. Semi-veal? Delucious. ;-)

This is absolutely the way to handle it! Weak kneed sissys shouldn't keep livestock. It even says in Exodus that if you have livestock that acts like this and you don't take care of it promptly and then someone gets hurt or killed because you're irresponsible with your stock then YOU are to be blamed for manslaughter or taking care of lost wages. This is an oversimplification of ch 21:28-36, but you get the point.

So, no @The_Josh_Bear , I'm not a stock killing maniac, I'm a Bible thumping fundamentalist! And goat is the preferred red mead in the middle east, south and central America. There's a HUGE premium on goats right now in my part of the country because of the growing Hispanic population. The reason I don't do goats anymore is because they don't grow as fast as steers and they don't make as much milk as jersey cows. I do prefer goat milk though, it's more bland than sweet, and makes da cookies tastes good!

He turned right around and sold them to a nearby stockyard and made a couple hundred bucks quick. I always laugh at that because 1) he hauled them in a minivan, and 2. they were "pets" to those kids and I doubt they'd be happy knowing what happened. Anyways, I was told that stockyard sends a semi of them down near miami every week.

I also know some amish that supposedly make decent money on goats, but they allow the buyer(primarily muslims) to slaughter and butcher on site at the farm.

There's supposedly a huge market for goat cheese/milk as well.

I'm not sure how much it costs or how difficult it would be to raise them, but from what I'm told, the market is pretty stable and "high", unlike steers or pigs.

Definitely a premium for raw goat milk/cheese. The laws governing such things are frightening and there's some really sad stories about such.

The problem with goats is that the initial investment is high..... really high if you're trying to get some good Boer or Kiko meat goat breeding stock. And then it takes FOREVER to grow out good kids. And then there's the internal parisites and weird goat spontaneous death sickness (I made that decease up, but it discribes their typical issues), but yeah, cows are tougher and grow faster.
