What are the recommended number of cup holders for a supercab pick up. Ive heard the numbers range from NONE to 12......... I await your answer with bated breath ( or bad breath, whichever ).
I'm pretty much the only person in my crew cab. Sometimes the wife goes somewhere with me and sometimes I haul my boys with me to do some of the heavy lifting when I have to get something. But for the most part I'm the only one that lives in my 4door truck, so I recommend 2 cupholders, 1 for me and the other for myself.......

Not really.

Uh....isn't that one the one that broke..?

That looks ok for bottled water...but I would not trust a convienience store coffee in that one...on the shifter...??

I would make a royal triple-throwdown mess with that...

Well...making a mess is what I am good at...come to think about it...

I still have yet to fab up my cupholder...I have only driven my truck a few times in the last few months...it mostly is an outdoor workshop...

I guess I will be 'clutching' my cup real good...(subject matter pun intended...)

Yes. Remember, the whole thing, including that post was just for a joke. I never had any intentions of using it.

At least 2 cupholders required. 1 for your drink, and 1 for holding a Copenhagen spit cup. LOL
Yeah, and stay focused. Do not, I repeat, do not, under any circumstances, get those mixed up…

My dad likes it if I keep a couple of empty water bottles in each of my trucks… that tobacco looks like an expensive habit… but so are old Fords… but Fords probably aren’t quite as bad for your health… I honestly don’t really like that tobacco much… a little every once in awhile can hit the spot… but that’s maybe once or twice a year for me… I’m a fan of moderation… using tobacco as a stress reliever, will get you addicted.

Haha I only spit in clear bottles with lids. Two fold theory, I never drink the wrong bottle, and if it gets knocked over it doesn’t make a nasty mess. I’ve chewed off an on for the last 8 or so years and it hasn’t failed me yet.

I am fortunate enough to not be easily hooked on anything… except maybe IDI’s. I’ve been stuck on these things for the last 10 years and there is no quitting in sight. cookoocookoo

I do perhaps share the IDI addiction… but I’ve only had one for a year, and the other for a month

The only reason to think about quitting is when your wallet says so. Even then you don't have to think about it very long.

It's a fast moving addiction. That's for sure. What's even better is when someone gets their first one that was badly neglected. They fight and fight to the point of almost giving up. Then, all of a sudden, everything is fixed, the truck performs great, and they realize that it was all worth the fight.
I've never used tobacco and have never been tempted to. Years ago, my first truck was a 1979 F150 regular cab. It was white. I had a couple of friends with my who both chewed. It was winter time so the one next to the passenger's door would roll down the window when one of them gad to spit and they'd spit out the window. After we got to wherever we were going, I let them out. Later, I walked around to the passenger's side of the truck and saw that the entire side was streaked brown. I was SOOO mad. While I was at the carwash, I decided that it would never happen again. I've always made anyone who chews carry a spit cup/bottle after that.

You got me on that one...according to The Girl...I suffer from C.R.S...

Can't Remember Sh1#....and it makes Her suffer...too...

JF...I will get to the cupholder project as soon as I can...my raw material that I laid out in the gravel road disappeared...someone musta picked it up...thinking it was gonna puncture their tars..and then we had a neighbor scrape the road just before the winter snows...

Raw material...gone...but...I did add another welder to my collection...a nice one...inverter and all...so...progress is being made...patience...

On the clutch thing...when I had a shop I installed a lot of Luk Clutches...

Never, ever had a problem with them...they all worked good....I also insisted on having the flywheel machined by a shop with the right equipment...and I paid particular attention to all of the details...

100% success rate on all of the clutch work...

just my .02

Ok, so it appears that LuLuBelle ( 1989 F- 250 ) needs a new clutch. From all the racket and what I can see, it appears she is carrying the original clutch. It being a dual mass clutch, which replacement clutch kit should I purchase at the local Oreilly store? Give me your honest opinions please
A year ago I bought a Perfection clutch kit from Rock Auto. At that point my DM flywheel was acting fine - not even sure it had one. I didn't get around to doing the job myself, so hired a young fellow to do it. By then, the DM flywheel was really acting up. My mechanic said the flywheel was too large and the starter wouldn't engage. I did lots of research - nobody seems to have good specs. One rabbit path I went down, was the engine code (8th digit M said it was aftermarket turbo. Teoretically a different size flywheel. Some sources said the Perfection was interchangeable and others said no. I bought an unknown brand of flywheel - the only one I could find that gave all the specs When I opened the box, it turned out to ba a LUK. The real kicker was that my "mechanic" was bolting up the starter wrong. there are two sets of hole. Apparently all the conversion kits are interchangeable. I ended up making a special caliper to measure flywheel diameter. So far, so good.
