    i had an intake heater installed on my idi and i will tell you it will have its best results after the turbo. if you go before it can't keep the air hot enough by the time it reaches the cold intake manifold.

    I have a 1987 f-250 with a 1988 7.3 with a zf 5spd. When I fire it up hot or cold it shakes A LOT. When I go down the road, the sticks to my tranny shake too. I replaced the motor mounts and tranny mount and it still does it. I even did an injector/cylinder test and they apparantly all work...

    How long to glow in single digit temps?

    normally the glow plugs stay on for about 15 secs if in the single digits, but if you have a manual plugs I would leave them on for about 20 to 25 secs.

    I was wondering if there was anybody who makes a serpentine belt conversion or if it has been done. Don't get me wrong here, I like the ones on my truck, but I think a conversion would be cool.

    6.9 swapping 7.3 question

    it shouldn't be too hard. i did a swap with my 87 ford. Took out the 6.9 and the four speed, and put in a 7.3 with a five speed. Took a week.
