    Got everything buttoned up and ready to install. My mechanic friend gave me a new crush sleeve and let me use his inch pound dial type torque wrench to get the preload set up at around 10 inch pounds.     Thanks for all the replies gentlemen. I have done some looking on car-part.com and it looks like salvage axles are available for anywhere from $250 or so on up..... I found one on marketplace for $325 too. Does that sound reasonable to you guys?

    Did you pull the factory studs and replace with bolts? The hex on the studs won't allow the up pipe to fully tighten down, if I'm remembering correctly.

    Is the mechanical fuel pump on the 6.9 capable of sucking through a dual filter setup?

    You won't need the fuel heater. Many of us, myself included, have deleted it with no ill effects.
