Yep put a semi level valve in place with a residual valve on the outlet. Set to 5-10 psi. Or quit with the plan and go full air, like muah. Lol

Another one to look at to cannibalize for parts, Infiniti QX56 (possibly the Nissan Armada, Titan). I know for certain the QX56 has a self leveling system for the rear. Might be able to use their parts.....

It looks to be an air shock type system, with a compressor and control unit.

Here is the compressor/exhaust valve assembly:

Here is a fairly lengthy post on the Club Armada forum that describes the function and troubleshooting the system. It also has information on the location of the components......

Not sure if this helps, but it at least gives you another idea to work from. Also, something like this, coming from a truck, not a car, like the Lincoln might be better suited to what you are wanting to do. These do have a coil spring to support the weight, and the shocks are to level it.....

The Armada/QX56 has a towing capacity of 8900 lbs, and it has and 890 lb tongue weight capacity......

Even got to reuse the factory leaf mount on the axle.

The big question here is how is your ride empty? Those are pretty big bags for a pickup, does it cause any issues with nothing in the bed?

What your missing is he's not running it as a helper.
I would say his ride is smooth as butter.

I understand that but I was under the impression a bag way oversized for the application would ride harsher at low pressures. I can't remember why but I know I read it somewhere.

@Dieselcrawler did you do a build thread for that? I remember reading one like that a while ago.
