Body lift

degree of difficulty/time does it take to do a body lift on a crewcab 88? I was thinking maybe a 2 inch. This is mainly for clearance to work on the truck like turbo, downpipe and a extra 2 inches under the hood for future intercooler piping. I'll be replacing the body bushings if I do the lift since I'd be there already

I thought that was only for the 3" but the 2" had clearance?

The install takes the same time as just replacing body bushings but you will have to do sorting all over the truck, steering rack needs to be lengthened, bumpers need brackets to lift them two inches, radiator and intercooler need to be lifted or make custom fan shroud ect

Steering rack? I know the fan shroud part but on my bronco the only thing that appeared to have been done was fan shroud cut some and it came with a 3 inch body lift when I got it. But it does have a terrible gap above the bumper. I think my warm bumper is pretty adjustable at least 2 inches and rear bumper on my bronco looks like the factory mounts took up most the gap. How hard is it to instal the lift without a lot of equipment? Like just using jacks under the body?

It’s not hard to do at all. But it will take the better part of a day. Most kits come with a bracket to lower the fan shroud. You need to lengthen the steering shaft a little. Gives a lot of clearance for things like a down pipe and makes trans work easier.
