turbo noise

Hey everyone its not what it sounds like i am not having any problems. I own a 1994 f350 4x4 crew cab long bed 7.3idi turbo e4od. it still has the factory air intake system and factory garret turbo on it. The turbo works fine but it has a bearly noticable turbo whine coming from the exhaust I was just carious if there was anything easy I could do to make the whistle a little louder thanks

Are you running a muffler. If so remove it and run a straight pipe. It will sing then. If thats not enough do what the ricers do and notch the fan whee but have it balanced after or it wont last long running out of balance.l

I would do a open element air filter before that. Lol

Buy a whistle and blow it when you want to hear it

If you gouge the blades and not remove material it might stay balanced. Not sure if the moved material will matter but these spin 100k+ rpm

Custom intake will make more noise, that big cast air box eats it.

Mine with the bigger wheel has a nice sound.
