67 F100/250 Conversion with ATS Turbo'd 7.3L Swap

i started this build about a month ago and decided to make a build thread.

its a 67 f100 with 250 running gear and suspension (dana 60 rear, 8 lug, disk brakes, 250 springs)

the motor last in it was a 390FE with c6, now it has a 7.3L with c6.


motor will be basically stock other than a ATS turbo kit, 5" exhaust and pump turned up.

Nice man. How much room do you have between the firewall and the rear of the block? Gonna need to squeeze the turbo plumping in there. LOL

I like that rig man. Would love to see it in person at a Rally. But, Cali is a bit of a drive from most of them.

Man I have a chance to get a '71 F350.....I have always wanted to do an IDI in a bumpside. Those are my all time favorite trucks!

thanks! and theres alittle room, i will need to dent/push firewall back a little for the DP. but it will work.

and id like to show it off but not to many diesel shows in cali.

there my favorite body style too! i dont care for dentsides too much.

you should pick it up! 4x4's are more common for diesel swaps due to having the steering in front so you wont have clearance issues. the motor would be sitting 5-6" higher but i modified the steering to be in front so i have the motor sitting nice in there.

hey dents arent bad trucks! but if i had to choose, id take a bump! :D but thanks! and ill keep the pics coming!

little update. picked up my 80+ steering box, steering link and idi pump and bracket. also picked up a few misc idi parts too.

motor is pretty much mounted. just need to make sure its level and straight before i weld the last mount.

for the ats turbo kit, what do you do with the trans dipstick?


and is anyone interested in a isspro egt gauge? with brand new probe? PM me

Will you take pics of the mounts you make? I just bought a '71 F350...now my wife wants the '85 gone!...why dont they understand?
