swapping my c6 from 1985 f250 to e4od out of 1997 f250

Hey guys, been lurking here for awhile. Can a c6 transmission be swapped for tran out of a 1997 f250? I have swapped the rear axle from the 1997. The truck I would like to do the trany swap is a 1985 ford f250 with a 6.9 idi. Thanks, any info would be appreciated.

Do yourself a favor, get a opti-shift controller and harnesses! I was going to do this swap and had a 89 truck so i robbed the harness. After several days of separate the engine from transmission harness for the e4. I realized it wasn't worth my time.

You need a four stud converter 90-94 E4OD. You can use the flex flywheel from your C6.
