Holly Red, description says not for fuel injection?

I think that is meant more towards EFI systems for gassers? Not sure, but I know several members use them here with minimal problems.

you have to understand that they are designed for pumping gas, not diesel, so they are not designed to run a fuel injected engine that requires a fuel pressure of 30+ psi.

look up the pro comp pumps with the same ratings as the red I have had one for at least 3 years and it works wonderful

The fuel injection they're talking about is the medium/low pressure injection used on gas EFI engines- it has nothing to do with the Holley's use as a diesel lift pump for our application. However I will say, that even though a lot of folks use them (me too) as lift pumps for our trucks, they are working at the upper edge of their reliability/usefulness. When confronted with slightly more viscous fuel, like such that happens in winter, or in using un-thinned WMO or WVO, they will bog down and cause fuel starvation issues. I recently solved this problem by installing a Facet e-pump & have had no more issues.

John... Talk to Genlighting up in Nevada about getting you a trancold carrier electric lift pump.... They will work much better than the Holley Red pump. I know... I ran several of them.... Till I wore one out.... What a mess that pump was too...

i ran one too till i knocked the darn bowl off the thing with it hanging under my truck. I put several pumps in it till i said screw it and hooked the mechanical pump back up. You can see my thread about it as a rant.

The transcold carrier pump I posted about will pull diesel up about 12 foot... Next time you see a refer trailer look at the refrigeration unit in the front at the top of the trailer. Then look at the spare tire... See the fuel tank for it way back there... That electric lift pump draws fuel all that way up to the engine... It really sucks the fuel a long way. PS... They run much quieter than any holley red too.... I just went of ebay looking for electric fuel pumps... About 2000 listed. Plenty much les than what you have found too John.... Look under holler red on ebay too for pumps. Usually you can find them from $25.00 and up.. Some are very slightly used.. Others new...

The Holley Red also states that it is not for constant use (meant for racing), but I've had mine on the truck for 4 years with no problems and my truck is my daily driver.
