Do you guys know how to lower my rpms on the road when we are doin 70 i will be running 3 grand and that uses a lot of fuel.

buy a trailer and hook it to sootmans truck other wise slow down

mark dont worry about 70mph. with a camper in tow i wont be running 70 mph for 6 hours.

and i'm the one hauling the camper. why are you worried about fuel?!

Drive the way Towcat does:

1- Drive with your foot on the floor so the engine is running against the
governor (maximum MPH)
2- Think of 'mileage' it in terms of gallons/hour rather than MPG
3- Arrive at your destination sooner, turn off the engine sooner and
'use' less fuel because the engine was running less hours, therefore
less gallons were used

I think that's because we are all just trying to run together and chit-chatting back and forth on FRS radios or CB's... We don't run the trucks hard during the convoy - at least that is how it's been everytime we hook up with folks...

Yup.
60-65 seems to be the average speed unless I get rolling down the hill.

DANG!!! Louisville could be the hub for a bunch of you guys getting onto 65 south for the final leg. Like Ron said...........if timed/planned right, there could be a huge convoy of IDI rolling down 65 and into Bowling Green.

You guys will pass right by Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum as you get closer to the campground.

I should be there by then and give me a call when you guys get close....that would be a very cool video/photo.

As much as I would love to meet yall in KY its a bit far for a Northwest boy. I know there are several of us from Oregon,California,and a couple of us Idaho Boys. Anyone know it there is a rally out this direction annually I think Central Oregen,Northern Utah,or even Western Nevada would be cool locations. Anyhow if anyone knows anything let me know.

Oh that reminds me.... I got a shirt for you - you'll have to remind me when we are down there. I've been carting it around in the campers for a while (keep moving it from one camper to the next) that I need to get to you. So you'll have to help remind me.... I think I need to pin a note to the inside of the camper....
