But, you can still make much more boost and have it limit boost and drive pressure with a functioning wastegate.
Personally drove one for lots of miles with the stock wastegate can, adjusted closed tighter and some sort of inline piece that limited boost to the can......made 20psi pretty easily. And we adjusted it up higher at one point and the boost did follow, so, the wastegate was limiting ot at 20.

A wastegate is an overboost protection device. Modifying yours by increasing the spring weight is a valid way of increasing boost, but still has the overboost protection there. Removing the wastegate or locking it shut essentially turns the turbo into a fixed turbo, with "unlimited" boost potential.

Between the intake and the turbo. If it is the factory 093 snail, there is a fitting on it already.

Thank you both gentlemen! I sprayed it with pb blaster to soak, what’s the chances of busting the aluminum turbo hat if it is corroded?

I've never tried to remove one, but I'd guess that you'll round off the head of the plug before you break the hat.

Yep just an aluminum plug. It should come out. If memory serves, it is 1/8 npt

Well getting the plug out was not a problem, but the boost sensor will not fit in that area to tighten down. The base will not fit.

If you insist on using that sender, you can remove the hat and drill and tap it to 1/4" NPT or whatever size it is.
