Blend door

93 f350. Pulled the cover off and found a small carriage bolt blocking the movement of the door. While removing that, the piece that sticks up from the blend door to the cable actuator broke. Any idea on how to fix it?

I jerry rigged a coat hanger through the box into the blend door. It works (til it doesn't)

I’ve heard that piece is super brittle and will break if you touch it. I bet some creative JB weld usage would help make it stronger

Thought about that. I’d have to pull the whole thing out to do it. That’s why I went with the coat hanger lol. Planning on a cab swap in the future. Trying not to put too much into the cab. Gotta make it through the winter though
