Hi in the Cascades, Nearly- Redmond,Oregon
Well I been going to call Russ and get one of his cams for my upcoming engine overhaul.
Then I found out about his passing. Anyone know where I might find one of his cams?

Still available. His wife is running the website and still kept agreements with the company who actually makes the cams.

Injectors are only thing NLA

I noticed his site was still up, didn`t know if it was in limbo

Good to hear they are going to keep it going.

ttman4, contact them and see what`s up.

I was getting signed up on FB, but a I remember they were asking for some personal info...and said fooy on that.

If I remember correctly the two cams have a different emphasis. Russ' cam emphasizes low end grunt while Justin's cam emphasizes more on high end power and speed. I believe that is the way Russ explained it to me.

Russ cam is the "logger cam" and Justin's cam is the performance cam the way I've heard it. I wish I woulda tossed one of either in my truck. IIRC Russ's cam was originally ground for NA idi logging trucks to get more grunt out of them but also works good with a turbo

That's awesome to hear!
I had one of Russ's cams in a N/A 6.9. That thing ran amazing for about 3 1/2 miles when it dropped a valve.

Every time I get on Russ's internet site I see the camshafts as well as other things to order.
Everything else has a place on there like QUICK VIEW, COMPARE, or ADD TO CART. The Camshaft only has Quick View & Compare but no way for me to Add To Cart so I can order one.
This morning I ordered 2 other things but it wouldn't let me order a camshaft.

Anyone got any ideas.....or maybe get on the site and see for me if it has ADD TO CART on the camshaft picture? I'd really like to get one pf his cams!!!!

You and me both... I just tried the website and same deal, no way to add to cart. It seemed like he didn't keep much in stock, he didn't have a lot of good cores and stuff. So it would make sense that they aren't selling them right now with his passing. Last I knew he working with Delta Cams here in WA. I know they have a shop in Tacoma, don't know if that's the headquarters or not.
It would be best to keep the business going towards his family, if possible. But if they aren't doing cams anymore, maybe call Delta and see if they can duplicate the grind? If you do, get a group order going and I'll be in on it.

The other way to go about it is to use Justin's cam. The dyno info on both cams is out there, they really are quite similar. His is not a "upper RPM" cam while Russ' was a "low RPM" cam. Yes they are biased a little bit each way, but both cams are way better than stock and have very similar torque curves and max HP.

I still have mine. If you guys were closer, maybe we could work something out. It did take quite a while (like several months) to get mine back. So he probably had to wait until he had enough to send in. I didn't mind the waiting part so much. It was the fact that I wasn't told that it would take a while. Otherwise, no issues. At least outside that particular engine I tried it in.
