What’s a good pump to replace a Holley Black lift pump? Mine just crapped out after only 1 year. If I wiggle the wires going into the pump I can get it to turn on a little. Not something I trust.

I heard other places that Holley pumps are lacking quality. Anyone know of a quality pump that meets similar fuel delivery specs that can get me back on the road?

Oh man, having some serious deja vu.
I'd suggest checking out this thread, lots of good discussion for alternatives.

You can get repair kits for Holley pumps.

Did you run in line filters from the tanks before the pump? Because you should. 30-40 year old fuel tanks can flake rust etc to destroy your pump. I had them before the FSV, to keep it from getting ruined for the same reason.

I ran a Holley red for 3 years (2020-2023) on my RV with in line filters. Zero problems. Sold RV with it still working.

I am running a Walbro FRB-13. Doesn’t quite flow enough, with maxed out Moose Junior pump I can outrun the Walbro pump and starve for fuel.

R&D makes one heck of a kit, regulated return and everything, I plan on getting one when they are in stock again.

It may not ever be in stock until you call and ask him to make one. Kind of how he works sometimes.

Airdog makes a “raptor 100” lift pump that puts out 100gph and has a regulator that can be set at 1-30psi. It’s around $300 but it’s a pump you can have confidence in.

Yes I have a filter before and after the pump and I replaced the fuel tanks with plastic ones and all the fuel lines before I ran this pump. The problem seems to be electrical connections internally.

May try and see if it’s covered under warranty. These things aren’t cheap, you’d expect them to last awhile.

Is he making you one now? I'd do that system too, if I weren't running two tanks still.
I really don’t know. He said he would make some after he finishes up a couple of engine builds. But he didn’t directly say what he was gonna do. He mentioned something about November.

I am also running two tanks, and don’t intend to change that. He makes a kit for 38 gallon single tank conversion, and a kit for just between the selector valve and the engine. I have a manual selector valve, much more dependable.
