So what about going to an electric gear drive (positive displacement) pump? They make them in mag drive so all the wetted parts can be Teflon or stainless steel. No seals to leak.

part of my thoughts for sure.

I've been running veggie again for about two weeks now. Subway sold me some great greasecar valves that are rated for the hot veggy. I took this opportunity to further bulletproof my fuel system.

Here is the 2.0 version.

The mechanical lift pump for the diesel side is like the one in the video posted above, but I had to swap the spring out for a weaker one. Its a great lift pump, pressure stays at 14ish PSI no matter what I'm doing with the throttle.

Lift pump on the veggie side is a walbro frb-5. Folks report good luck using it with the hot veggie. Fuel pressure using it while on veggie is at about 6psi, but if I floor it it will drop to 1 or 2 psi. Good enough for now, but I may look into upgrading its spring in the future.

So now I have two fully redundant fuel supply systems, should be fairly bullet proof for me.

Took a load of scrap to the yard today. First time I've had the Ranger weighed.

when I subtract my weight from the empty weight on the ticket it comes in at 4,620 lbs.
10 gallons of veggie, and 15 gallons of diesel on board. Oh and a lot of sound deadening. LOL
