Ok...I am thinking about digging into my whining ZF5 and doing a rebuild on it. (S5-42)

Does anyone have a pdf of the ZF manual? The link i have been finding (including the tech article on OB) has been broken...

Mine us to whine to I thought it was the trans. When I pulled it the pilot bearing and release bearing were shot, so I did them and the flywheel clutch and no more whining. Mine us to whine a lot in the mountains and towing but not so much on the flats.

Mine was a fresh rebuild when I got it. Are they supposed to whine when downshifting? That's the only time I get any out of it.
